DigDeep Water

Food means different things to different people. Some just eat it to live. Some enjoy food for the experience. There are endless ways food plays a role in our lives. Even being the food lover I am, I sometimes forget what it takes for me to cook they way I do, get the produce the way I want, eat the way I love. Which brings me to my point. I take for granted the natural resources, the micro details, behind the food that I eat. The most important of which being water. Every part of my daily food experiences include water.

Imagine a world where you can't even make food because you do not have the ability to simply turn on a tap and have clean water.

If You Don't Know, Now Ya Know

This is a new blog segment I want to start... let's see how it goes. Take it away Biggie Smalls!

This weekend we all know is CARMAGEDDON!!! The 405 will be shut down from the 101 to the 10. I don't know about you, but this completely screws my ability to leave the valley. However, depending on where you are, this weekend has some awesome things in store for you to check out.

Downtown LA
-The Renegade Craft Fair in Los Angeles offers a great place to discover local artists and buy some cool stuff. Check out LA's greatest outdoor marketplace for handmade goods, featuring over 200 artists. The Renegade Craft Fair is always free-to-attend. Attendees can get involved with the hands-on crafting activities, check out the bar for some cold libations, and purchase food from terrific LA food trucks! Now, who doesn't love a good food truck!

Easy Entertaining: Gourmet Cheese Platter

Ever been to a fancy restaurant and paid a lot of money for a cheese platter? I have. The thing about these platters is they can be very easy to do at home. Next time someone asks you to bring something to their dinner party, wow them with an amazing spread. The items you can put on your plate are endless.

The Must Haves
I ALWAYS like to have at least 3 great cheeses from different families.
I alsways like to make crostini. Having a crispy toast to eat you cheese with will work out a lot better than slices of raw bread.

How To Start
Make sure you make your crostini our of really good bread. I recommend a baguette so you can cut even round slices. Unfortunately, this time around my boyfriend bought a french loaf instead of a baguette. This is still fine... just less consistent. It was only us eating anyways :)

Jam of the Day

Listen. Love. Get obsessed...

Mr Scruff- Get a Move On

Try not to dance to this the next time you make dinner.

Under Construction on the 4th of July

I am hoping to revamp the look and feel of my blog. I find it to be somewhat amateur.

HELP ME!

Any suggestions.... anything is appreciated!

PS. My summer resolution is to be better about taking pictures what I cook. I made amazing strawberry shortcake this weekend, and feel I can't share the recipe as I have only one photo. I guess I just have to make it again :)

Still absurdly delicious...
